A three week safari from Johannesburg to Dar es Salaam.

Week 1

South Africa, Botswana - Leaving Johannesburg we head up into Botswana and across to the delta to have a true wilderness experience amongst the wild animals and their habitat. From there we head up to the Chobe River for an afternoon boat cruise. It’s then to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe for activity at every corner.
Week 2

Zambia, - To South Luangwa Valley then the shore of Lake Malawi next, to try your hand at Altitude and Freshwater Scuba Diving, horse riding and sailing. Up to Chitimba and the chance to hike Livingstonia.
Week 3

Tanzania - , then into Tanzania through the Baobab valley, and to the Indian Ocean at the African City of Dar es Salaam. From here you can head to the Spice Island of Zanzibar

Oz-Bus is always on the look out for experienced Tour Leaders to run their trips.

The tour leader is responsible for the smooth running of the tour and for ensuring that travellers have the best possible time on their trip. You will be primarily concerned with our clients’ health and safety and their enjoyment of the trip.”

Oasis Overland launches Volunteering Projects 2010

Oasis Overland is launching a program of volunteer projects in Ecuador and South Africa that can be joined in conjunction with their overland adventures. The opportunities include rainforest management, shark research, teaching children and building bicycles. Some projects ask for specific expertise but many are open to all and offer the chance to learn new skills, not to mention the experience of living with local families and learning about the daily lives of the community, an opportunity not always available on an ordinary holiday.

Tucan Travel seek expedition tour leader in Africa

This is a great opportunity to lead tours in this fascinating part of the world, to gain some fantastic travel experience and have a great adventure.

Applicants MUST:
* Have extensive travel experience in Africa.
* Have some leadership experience, preferably through previous tour leading positions.
* Be self motivated and enthusiastic

* Be able to take initiative to make decisions and work with a broad range of people.
* Have an understanding or participated in group travel
* Be able to commit for 18 months.
* Be able to provide at least two recent relevant references from previous places of employment and by doing so, give their consent for reference verification.
* Be self motivated and enthusiastic.

Applicants will be responsible for the welfare and general enjoyment of our clients, this entails being very friendly, helpful and outgoing. You will have to display excellent communication and leadership skills. Please see our job description for more details of this position:

You must be able to document tour costs, be responsible for own accounting whilst on the tour, have the confidence to handle situations that can occur along the way, and have the ability to adapt to people from all walks of life. This role would require a keen ability to learn very detailed information about each country you will visit in regards to political state, current affairs, geography and history and cultural importance of each of these countries.
