Overlanding between Europe & Africa

If the project goes ahead the tunnel would be 40km long and would begin operation for 2025. The undersea tunnel would unite North Africa and Europe and would be part of a new Mediterranean transport hub for train passengers and goods. However as with the Eurotunnel between the UK and France there is likely to be many financial hurdles however for travellers it could prove an exciting fast link into Africa.
