Can we have route guides? I know you cannot cover all of them but some of the classics would be useful.
routes sound like a must have
also maybe a rundown of the bigger companies and what their strengths are
plus maybe a timetable of things like the animal migrations in africa
I think you generally need to pay more attention to this site. It has heaps of potential but info flowing on here is sparodic and scarce. You need to try and promote what your domain suggests and try and create a site that overlanders like myself (passionatate and a little neurotic) can comunicate and share ideas/ updates and a few stories.
The additon of 3 comments for the month of Jan is a sure sign your site is going down the toilet. So get on with it OC hosts and MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!
Hi Lozza, we appreciate your candid honesty and will take on board your comments. How would you like to share ideas? would you like to see live chat available on the site? Any new categories?
We do rely heavily on both the community and companies to pass on information to us. So as always if you have a story or picture you would like to share please send them through and we would be happy to include them on the site.

You don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Get som ideas off other community based interactive sites. Use facebook to find groups to invite groups such as afteroveranding messeranti snake park etc etc Push your register window…. highlight it …make it flash…..i dont know I’m no tech head. Maybe try and get some profile industry players, locally based sending monthy reports including humour, tips news etc. Approch overland campsites/backpackers to become correspondents with the only promotion of their business allowed being the profiling of themselve that comes with quality and regular imput.. I’m no web guru but you need to make it fun and informing. You say you rely on company and community for info….. well whos chasing them up…….. come on or I”ll have to start a overlanders website myself…..as you can see by the amount of comments, things arn’t going so great!!! COME ON MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!!
Excellent stuff Lozza! Thanks for all the positive feedback.
