    We have recently been made aware of Topdeck, who are kind of an overlanding company. If anyone has been on their trips please let us know your experience, or if you can shed more light on the company!

      Hey there,

      To clarify, although Top Deck do travel ‘overland’, the travel style, training, crew requirements, vehicles, local conditions, principles and logistics that apply to other overlanding companies featured on this site ,and Top Deck’s European tours, are completely different. Chalk and cheese… :) Top Deck do not operate their own vehicles in Africa, BUT, are agents for one of the biggest, most reputable overland companies out here. You will be in very good hands! I would assume (but am not positive) that the same applies for their Middle East trips as I have never seen a Top Deck vehicle up there either.

      I traveled with Top Deck from London to Pamplona and back a few years ago and had a absolute blast. Our Crew and bus was great and although we did the ‘hotel’ version of the tour (as opposed to the camping version), the crew were completely involved with keeping us organised, getting us backwards and forwards to the town and making our sangria by the bucket load. If I was thinking of doing a Europe tour they would be at the top of the list!
