Rwanda Visas

Category: Africa Expedition Support | October 8, 2007 By admin

The Rwanda Government has introduced what they are calling an Entry Facility. “The entry facility is a document issued by the Immigration Department that enables the citizens from countries which do not have a Rwandan Embassy to obtain a single entry temporary visa of 15 days at any official entry point upon arrival. The applicant will present this document to our Immigration Officer found at any entry point.

Applicants holding national passports from USA, Germany, Canada, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya, Great Britain, Sweden, Hong Kong and Burundi do not need an entry facility due to the bilateral agreement that Rwanda has with these countries. ”

To obtain: log onto www.migration.gov.rw and click on ?entry facility? fill in the form. The Rwandan immigration will respond in 2 days. The Rwandans email your Entry Facility to you, print it out take it with you to the border. This enables a visa to be issued at the point of entry.

  1. Dear Africaexpeditionsupport

    Sounds like good advice.

Can you tell me whether after producing the entry facility at the point of entry you have to pay anything or is entry free?

    Kind Regards
