Tucan Currency Changes

Jan 1st, 2009 | By admin | Tags: , , , ,

Tucan Travel are the latest to adjust prices due to currency fluctuation. However there will be no increases for clients who have already booked. The Australian Dollar prices have been increased by 15% whilst the US Dollar prices have decreased by 10% from Thursday 18 December 2008. For more detailed information click here. This follows Intrepid who at the end of November had warned of currency surcharges.

Update:

Tucan Travel are advising passengers to book by the 31st of Jan 2009 to avoid a price hike. ” Due to current exchange rates, Tucan Travel may need to increase our Group Tour prices by 10% or more in most currencies including GBP, CAD, AUD and NZD. We will be reviewing and publishing these increases at the end of January 2009 “

Africa Overlanding - Average Age?

Mar 25th, 2007 | By paula | Tags: ,

Hi, I am looking to go overlanding in Africa for a month in May. I just turned 30 and am looking to travel with other people travelling on their own, who are late 20’s to late 30’s.

Its really difficult to tell from websites what the average age is of those travelling, and I suspect there are a lot of pre uni ‘gappers’ on these trips, but I would?be keen to travel with people who are taking a long holiday or break from their career, to get that ‘like minded’ promised experience.

Any advice on which companies doing a SW Africa, or the SA to Kenya trips might be best suited. Thanks
